Life Drawing Workshop: Kerry with 4 legs

A slightly surreal life drawing of Kerry, drawn at the Life Drawing Meet-Up Group in San Diego.

I hang out there on Wednesday nights as a break from my illustration assignments, and to have fun drawing. This time, I drew Kerry with color pencils over raw sienna wash on 18 x 24 Strathmore 400 drawing paper. I used more colors than usual to build up her skin tones during this fun, 3 hour workshop.

John Bruno: Graham Smith
This is a life drawing demonstration I created for the Life Drawing Workshop at Sony Online Entertainment.

18 x 24. Terracotta colored pencil over raw sienna wash. White charcoal for the high lights and scarlet red for the subtle color accent. Model: John Bruno.

As usual, I sit alongside the artists and demonstrate the lesson of the week. This week: the 100 minute drawing.
