Born on June 4th, 1928 in Thilbodaux, Louisiana, Blues bassist Lloyd Lambert was best known as the bandleader of Guitar Slim's band back in the 1950's.

Sketchbook Jam - Mike Rudolph

Sketchbook Jam at Studio 2nd Street, in Encinitas, is a once a month local treat.

Talented folk from all around flock to Ron and Vanessa's studio, listen to some great music, and draw in their sketchbooks.

This month, singer songwriter Mike Rudolph charmed the room, while local artists enjoyed the Friday night drawing, painting, talking and eating BBQ chicken pizza.

I brought a Lami Safari fountain pen and a little 5.5 x 8 inch Canson basic sketchbook, drew a few things and had a wonderful time.

Mike Rudolph plays original compositions.

But he left his amp at home, so his girlfriend rallied.

James Brown's Birthday
